Talins.top Scam & Fraud Policy
1. General Provisions
1.1. This Scam & Fraud Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") defines the rules for the prevention of fraud, scam activity, abuse, and other dishonest actions on the Talins.top platform (hereinafter referred to as "Talins", the "Platform", or "We").
1.2. Talins is a platform for in-game trading, publishing listings, communication between users, use of the Middleman Service, and interaction within gaming communities.
1.3. Since user transactions always involve risks, Talins strives to minimize fraud, ensure platform security, detect scam activity, restrict abuse, and protect infrastructure and users.
1.4. Despite the measures taken, Talins does not guarantee the complete absence of fraud, scams, fraudulent activity, abuse, or malicious activity.
1.5. By using the Platform, the User agrees to comply with this Policy.
2. What Is Considered Scam/Fraud Activity
2.1. Talins considers any actions aimed at deceiving users, obtaining digital assets unlawfully, misleading users, or abusing the Platform infrastructure to constitute fraudulent activity.
2.2. Scam/fraud activity may include:
- fake listings
- fake offers
- forged screenshots
- impersonation
- pretending to be a Middleman
- social engineering
- phishing
- use of stolen accounts
- chargeback fraud
- abuse of the MM system
- fake vouches
- review manipulation
- false scam reports
- coordinated scam activity
- distribution of malicious links
- attempts to steal accounts
- scams via Discord/Telegram
- fraud in in-game transactions
- falsification of transaction confirmations
- abuse of the reputation system
- fraudulent trading behavior.
2.3. Talins independently determines whether activity is considered fraudulent.
3. Prohibited Actions
3.1. Users are prohibited from:
- deceiving other users
- impersonating Talins staff
- impersonating an official Middleman
- using other users' accounts
- publishing scam listings
- distributing malicious links
- using phishing schemes
- publishing fake proofs
- using stolen content
- abusing the MM Service
- artificially inflating reputation
- publishing false accusations
- participating in coordinated fraud activity
- bypassing security systems
- using automation/bots for abuse.
3.2. Talins may restrict any actions it considers suspicious.
4. Middleman Service and Fraud
4.1. Talins provides the official Middleman Service solely as an auxiliary tool.
4.2. Even when using the MM Service, the User understands that the risk of fraud is not completely eliminated; Talins does not guarantee transaction security; Talins does not act as an insurer; Talins does not compensate losses.
4.3. The User must independently verify that they are interacting with an official Middleman through official Talins channels.
4.4. Talins is not responsible for third-party MM services, fake middleman scams, external Discord/Telegram transactions, or actions of users outside the Platform.
5. Scam Reports
5.1. Talins may provide a scam report system.
5.2. Users may report scam activity, suspicious behavior, fake middlemen, phishing, abuse, and fraudulent users.
5.3. Talins has the right to verify reports, request evidence, restrict user access, remove content, and block accounts.
5.4. Talins does not guarantee satisfaction of complaints, return of gaming items, restoration of accounts, or compensation for losses.
5.5. False scam reports are prohibited.
6. Reputation System
6.1. Talins may use reviews, a vouch system, trust indicators, and reputation systems.
6.2. Reputation mechanisms are provided solely for informational purposes.
6.3. Talins does not guarantee the accuracy of reviews, vouches, or user ratings.
6.4. The following are prohibited: fake-vouch activity; reputation manipulation; coordinated reputation abuse.
6.5. Talins may remove reviews, restrict reputation-related functions, and reset reputation indicators.
7. Automated Security Systems
7.1. Talins may use anti-fraud systems, automated moderation, spam detection, suspicious activity monitoring, image moderation, behavioral analysis, and security logs.
7.2. The User agrees that certain actions may be automatically analyzed by security systems.
7.3. Talins may restrict suspicious activity, suspend accounts, restrict functions, and block access.
8. Verification of Users and Content
8.1. Talins may moderate content, review messages, review uploaded images, analyze listings, and investigate suspicious behavior.
8.2. Talins independently determines verification methods.
8.3. The User must cooperate during investigations of violations.
9. No Guarantees or Compensation
9.1. Talins does not guarantee absence of scams, transaction security, honesty of users, or successful completion of transactions.
9.2. Talins does not provide compensation, refunds, insurance coverage, or guarantees against fraud.
9.3. The User independently bears the risks of in-game transactions, transfer of gaming items, and interaction with other users.
9.4. Talins is not responsible for actions of users, loss of gaming items, bans of gaming accounts, actions of gaming platforms, or damages resulting from fraud.
10. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
10.1. Talins may cooperate with law enforcement authorities, judicial authorities, regulatory authorities, and anti-fraud organizations.
10.2. Talins may transfer data in cases involving legal requirements, fraud investigations, security threats, or abuse activity.
11. Restriction of Access
11.1. Talins may block accounts, restrict access, remove content, restrict functions, and permanently suspend users.
11.2. Such measures may be applied in cases involving suspected scams, fraud, abuse, phishing, impersonation, or repeated violations.
11.3. Talins may make such decisions without prior notice.
12. International Application
12.1. Talins is available to an international audience.
12.2. The User is solely responsible for complying with the laws of their country.
12.3. Talins does not guarantee that use of the Platform is permitted in all jurisdictions.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1. Talins provides the Platform on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
13.2. Talins is not liable for scam activity, fraudulent users, user disputes, third-party services, external communications, gaming bans, loss of gaming items, or indirect damages.
13.3. Talins' maximum liability is limited to the amount actually paid by the User to the Platform during the last 3 months of service use, or the equivalent of 10 USD if no payment was made.
14. Changes to the Policy
14.1. Talins may amend this Scam & Fraud Policy at any time.
14.2. The new version becomes effective upon publication.
14.3. Continued use of the Platform constitutes the User's acceptance of the updated version.
